The Disney Cast members procedure for pointing at directions.

Hi Disney Fan like me, have you wondered why Disney Cast Members point with the ring finger and index finger at the same time.

Pointing with the index finger only is inappropriate in some cultures.

It’s true we each tend to point with the index finger in the United States.

Then we offend people from around the world who travel here or there.

Cast members are taught to point with the ring finger and index finger during training.

I like how respectful it looks when Disney Cast Members do this when the guests ask for directions to an attraction or a store or a restaurant or a cafe.

I always wondered, why I see it a lot in the Disney Parks.

I bet Disney Imagineers are trained in this way too.

I found this fact interesting and I like it.

Yeah, pointing with one finger is rude and disrespectful.

Now on, let’s follow the Disney Cast Members’s way to be respectful with pointing with our ring fingers and index fingers.

Thanks for checking out my Disney imagineering blog!!!!!
